My research field is healthcare operations management, and my doctoral dissertation is titled “Managing Complex Patient Journeys: A Healthcare Operations Management Perspective.” My work was part of the PATHWAY project, carried out in collaboration with Aalto University, the University of Oslo, and SINTEF Digital. As part of my doctoral research, I also served as a visiting researcher at Stanford University in the United States.

Thesis: Managing Complex Patient Journeys: A Healthcare Operations Management Perspective
▪️Conducted research on healthcare systems and service production, focusing on managing complex patient pathways. Produced 7 peer-reviewed publications, supervised 21 bachelor’s and 3 master’s theses. Publicly presented research in venues such as Tiedekulma and my research got cited in The Economist.
▪️Co-taught the master’s course HealthTech Linkage for 4 years, collaborating with 60+ industry partners (guest lecturers, mentors, innovation challenges). The course was consistently top-rated by students and contributed to strengthening academia–industry collaboration in healthtech innovation.
▪️Visiting Scholar, Stanford University (2023): Conducted research on digital health and epidemic modeling.
Consultant, Nordic Healthcare Group (9/2021 – 2/2025)
Worked with leading pharma companies, healthtech startups, research institutions, and nearly all Finnish healthcare regions on strategy, analytics, and reform execution. Combined quantitative analysis with strategic advisory to guide large-scale healthcare reforms, including €100M+ regional projects. Led small consultant teams, built client relationships from self-generated leads, and delivered work that resulted in 2 peer-reviewed scientific publications and lasting operational improvements across Finland’s healthcare system.
Board Member, Helsinki Summer University (9/2022 – 9/2024)
Strategic oversight and governance of a €2M budget educational organization, employing 13 full-time staff and engaging ∼300 part-time teachers annually.
Co-founder, DentAI (8/2021 – 9/2025)
Co-founded and led the development of an AI-driven software product for automated, speech recognition–based dental charting.
Earlier Academic and Project Experience (8/2017 – 7/2021)
▪️ Master’s Thesis Researcher (2021): Examined the effects of Kela subsidy reductions in Finnish private dental care. The thesis received the highest grade (5/5) and resulted in two peer-reviewed publications.
▪️ Product Owner (2020): Secured funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education and developed a workshop toolbox using the Lean Service Creation methodology to help Finnish teachers design transversal competences.
▪️ Research Assistant (2019): Led the final report for the Business Finland–funded project “Building Evidence for the Cost-Effectiveness of Digital Interventions in Healthcare.”
▪️ Research Assistant (2018): Contributed to the development of Aalto University’s A+ Family learning platform for computer science education.
▪️ Teaching Assistant (2017–2020): Supported courses in Healthcare Operations Management, Growth Hacking, and Media Programming.

Contributed to organizational development by documenting administrative processes and creating a comprehensive organizational handbook to support onboarding and transparency within one of Finland’s largest student-led organizations.

Politics and Student Advocacy (2016 – 2025)
I have been actively involved in various organizations, serving in roles ranging from board member to chair. Since 2016, I have worked within several organizations of the National Coalition Party, including serving on the board of Vantaa Kokoomus from 2016 to 2018 and as Chair of the Aalto University Coalition Party Students from 2018 to 2020. I have also served in the Representative Council of the Aalto University Student Union from 2018.
Various Position, City of Vantaa (2014 – 2021)
I served as a member of the Vantaa Leisure Committee from 2017 to 2021. Before that, I was involved in the Youth Council, first as a member (2014–2017) and later as vice chair (2016). As a representative of the Youth Council, I also served on both the Social and Health Committee (2014) and the Education Committee (2015). These years taught me a great deal about municipal decision-making.
